Artica lets you easily manage a DNSBL and/or RBL service for your SMTP relays, DNS, SSH and reverse-proxy services.
If you use an Artica SMTP relay, you'll benefit from additional features (eMail address blocking, URL blocking in messages, etc.)
But even if you don't use Artica as a client, the DNSBL/RBL service lets you do a lot of things.
The DNSBL service is designed to work with several million records, and provides almost instantaneous responses.
For 20 million records, it consumes an average of 200Mb of memory, which is very little for this number of records.
Artica's DNSBL service uses the DNS infrastructure to respond to requests.
So it's easy to produce in the public cloud.
However, it can also be used efficiently on a local network.
You can create several databases. Each database corresponds to a DNS IP response in the form 127.0.0.x
External sources enable Artica to regularly download files via HTTP containing IP addresses in order to populate your databases.
post-processing is a method which consists of checking unknown addresses using other processing systems in order to improve the level of security.
