Strategic tips to ensure a minimum of safety with Artica platforms.
When setting up an Artica platform, it is essential to limit the attack surface to prevent any compromise or penetration.
The SSH service should only be used for occasional needs (file recovery, specific support commands, etc.), as access to the system can be done via the Web Unix Console.
Through the Artica interface, you are free to install or uninstall it.
- No reason to leave it active -
The Artica administration console is one of the services that must be made as secure as possible.
If an administrator account is stolen or corrupted, the attacker can control the Artica machine and, through it, unlock security and access critical information (notably Active Directory access).
The proxy is a versatile element.
Artica is often used as a web proxy and cache server, which means it acts as a gateway between internal users and external networks.
The local firewall is able to control the traffic that can access and pass through the proxy.
Adding firewall rules around the proxy service protects both the server itself and the network it serves.
