USB storage provides a means to transfer and store files insuring persistence and availability of the files independent of network connection status. Its popularity and utility has led to USB-based malware being a simple and common means for network infiltration and a first step to establishing a persistent threat within a networked environment.
This feature is available on Artica v4.50 Service Pack 1 or Artica v4.50 Hotfix 20250130-18
In a server or virtual environment, USB peripherals are not used at all. This feature can be used.
but beware, if you enable this function, USB keyboards will also be prohibited.
¶ Disable USB devices
On the left menu, go to Your system > System information
- Down to “
Deny USB devices” and click the inactive label to turn ON - Reboot your server.
- The feature became “Active” means no usb device can be connected to the system
