Web filtering policies instruct the proxy service whether it should query the web filtering service before processing user requests.
This section does not focus on web filtering rules; rather, it addresses an upstream configuration that determines the behavior of the proxy service
ΒΆ Web filtering policies as a kind of traffic controller.
These policies decide whether the proxy should forward user requests to the web filtering engine, or skip it entirely and handle the request as if no web filtering were enabled for the rule's condition.
- On the left menu inside
Filtering service > Web-filtering policies, you have 3 defaults rules
- Temporary permissions
This rule (which is empty by default) allows you to quickly temporary exclude Internet domains from being analyzed by the Web Filtering engine.
- The second default rule
This is a fixed rule that ensures websites added to the global whitelist are also exempt from web filtering.
- The third default rule
This rule lists the websites that have been whitelisted using the control tools provided with real-time requests.
