Artica Categories Service is able to serve your Personal Categories. Remotely
Artica Categories service allows multiple Artica servers to retrieve website categories via the DNS protocol.
The Artica categories service is a part of the Artica Entreprise Edition
Basically, Artica Categories service is installed on a dedicated Artica server.
It is not directly connected to the Artica Clients because only the DNS protocol is used to communicate.
Of course, to simplify your architecture, it is possible that the Artica client servers use the Categories service directly.
If you use ACLs categories objects in both Artica Proxy and Artica DNS Firewall and this, with several servers, the Category Service will ensure a better management of your categories and better performance.
The categories service is installed on an Artica server outside the proxies branch.
The users who manage the personal categories are then independent of the proxy infrastructure.
Their influence is then limited to the maintenance of the website categories.
The category service turns personal categories into DNS records.
All data management is then generated in the personal categories section.
Artica uses the filtering service to retrieve a category.
This service is common for DNS requests coming from Artica DNS Firewall or Artica Proxy
