Is it possible to use the local DNS Cache service with the DNS Firewall service so that the local DNS Cache service uses the DNS Firewall service to resolve addresses ?
Yes, this feature is support on Artica v4.30 Service Pack 961 or Artica v4.40
- On DNS Forwarders, where the local DNS cache is, use the first DNS field and put the IP address of the Artica Box ( not 127.0.0.1 ).
For example, if your Artica server is 192.168.1.190, your local DNS Cache wil use the 192.168.1.190 to query domains and your DNS Firewall will use the DNS 2 and DNS 3 to forward queries.
