The objective is to have your users pass through a single point so you can log access and control access to external SSH resources.
This feature is available on Artica v4.40 Service Pack 62.
In a simplified configuration, the username used to log on to the SSH proxy will direct the connection to the real target SSH server.
The configuration of the client is very simple, it uses the SSH Proxy as destination server and authenticates itself usually.
If you have installed the SSH service on Artica itself, Artica will move this service behind the SSH Proxy, so all users that do not match the forwarding rules will be directed to the local SSH service.
