¶ Prevent security holes
The Firewall feature for Reverse-Proxy is designed to monitor accesses from and to your web services.
Especially what your server doing during outgoing connections.
CMS like WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal, TYPO3 can have security holes or accept modules or extensions from other vendors that could open security holes.
Many exploits are designed to use your server bandwidth and processor to spam Internet via email or comments or to scan other web sites.
It is important to deny this behavior and to monitor what your Web services doing on Internet.
¶ Install the Firewall For Reverse-Proxy feature
Under the “Web services" / “Status” section, click on “Install” button under the “Firewall For Web Service” widget.
- A new menu “Web Firewall” will be displayed and the widget will be turned to green with the number of whitelisted outgoing address rules number.
