- On the left menu, choose “Filtering service” and “Error page”
- Click on “Activate” button under the grey widget
¶ First setup
Once installed, Choose the default template that will be used to format the web page.
Give the HTTP port number and optionally the SSL port and the associated certificate.
Under the hostname field, define the hostname to access to the Web service.
This hostname value is important, it will configure the Web-filtering service main URL.
You can set an IP address (1.2.3.4) or a hostname or a fully qualified hostname.
¶ Reverse-Proxy support
The web error page service supports the use of reverse proxy.
If you want to use reverse proxy and provide multiple domains or multiple services using the same port 80/443, the reverse proxy service allows you to do so.
Note: When using the Web error page in the reverse proxy, the use of 80 and 443 port is mandatory for the Web-filtering.
If you using the reverse-proxy, then the main configuration will remove any related ports informations
