Backup to SSL for proxy main section
When you assign an SSL certificate to the blocking web page and especially when you use the SSL mode.
Make sure you are using a server certificate and not the Certificate Authority.
The Web error page service as been improved in Artica v4.40 Service Pack 116
The same applies if you do not want to have an SSL error on the Artica administration web page.
This is even easier if you have deployed artica's self-signed CA to perform SSL decryption at the proxy level.
¶ A) Create the server certificate
- On the left menu, choose “
Your system” > “Certificate Center” - Open the certificate set as “Root certificate” used for the proxy or deployed on your workstations.
- Click on New server certificate button
- Fill the form and take care about Common Name, Subject Alternative Name, Subject Alternative Name 1 and Subject Alternative Name 2, you have to set hostname ( or IP addresses ) used in all URLs
- Click on Create button.
- Your server certificate is added as a sub-certificate of your main certificate.
¶ Affect the certificate to the Error page service
- On the left menu, go to “
Filtering service” > “Error page” - Turn on the use The SSL Encryption and choose the certificate with the “Server:” prefix.
