For example, we need Artica to use parents for all websites except some domains. In our case we need that everything to *.com.br will use the direct mode. Means the Artica proxy client try to use the direct connection to reach web servers that end with com.br The new rule capability is available on Artica v4.30.00000 Service pack 225 or above.
On the proxy parent rules we have a first rule that use the parent proxy for all websites
Click on “New Rule” button
Give the rule name
Activate the option “Do not use Parent Proxy”
Click on Add button
Select the new created rule that is inactive by default because no object is associated.
On the rule interface, choose the “Objects Exclude” tab.
Click on New object button
On the “Create a new object based on” drop-down list, choose “Web server of domain”
Click on Associate button
The new created object is added in the list, click on it
Choose “Items” tab
Click on new item button
Type “com.br” in the pattern field and click on add button
Now we have a global rule that force our Artica Proxy do not use any parent proxy for the com.br websites
Click on “Apply rules” to make rules in production mode.
