When the service runs for the first time, it automatically generates an encrypted private and public key pair, whose main purpose is to encrypt communications.
You need to get the public key and provide it to users so that they can establish secure communication with your server.
- On the Left menu “
RustDesk” > “Status”, click on the green key widget or the key row on the center of the page. - A layer will shows you the public key inside a text area
- You can change this key at any time using the "Change" button.
Artica will regenerate a new, unique and random key.
Please note that regenerating a key will require all users to set the new key in the RustDesk client parameters.
It is advisable to perform this operation at the beginning of your project, or for security issue topic.
