The cluster feature enables full replication of the DNS configuration from a master server to multiple client nodes.
Client nodes check in with the master server every minute.
If a new configuration is available, they automatically download and apply it to mirror the master server, ensuring consistent and synchronized DNS setups across all nodes. This feature was enhanced starting Artica v4.50 Service Pack 5 or Artica v4.50 Service Pack 4 Hotfix 20250713-01
Please refer to this section [ Artica Cluster v2 ] to set up your master server and client nodes.
When you modify a setting or a DNS cache record, or something else on the master cluster, it prepares a dedicated cluster package for the DNS system.
You can view the status of the cluster package in the master cluster section in Your system > Cluster ( Master package )
The widget displays the package version, its build date, and how long ago it was generated.
In this case, the package was created on 20:35:25 (two hours ago.)
Every minute, the client node checks with the master node to see if a new package is available.
If a new package is found, it will be downloaded and applied immediately.
Ideally, the cluster package version on the client should match the one on the master server.
You can view the status of the cluster package in the Client cluster section in Your system > Cluster ( Slave mode )
