Basically, for standard performance and average usage you should not go below 4 CPUs and 6Gb of RAM and 80 GB of free disk space
The Artica v4.30.00000 Service Pack 217 include a new feature “Gateway Wizard”
Yes but you need to evaluate what you want to do with your Artica appliance.
You can start with 2CPUS and 750Mb of memory but for that, you need to use the “Gateway wizard” and “Process Groups” feature
The Gateway wizard:
The purpose of this wizard is to make your Artica machine as light as possible so that it only focuses on network connectivity such as a TCP gateway, a DHCP server, DNS or other.
To do this, all the cosmetic and useless modules for this single task are eliminated from the memory.
Process Groups
Even though the wizard has reduced the number of services, some regularly tasks can consume memory at certain times of the day.
Process groups allows you to limit the memory and CPU consumption of these regular tasks.
They will take longer to run but will not saturate the system because in our case, each memory consumption is critical.
The default values are enough restrictive to limit correctly system performance consumption
You will find that your server has drastically reduced its memory footprint, so you can gradually add new services to get the right balance
