¶ A) Create the user account for replication.
On the TOP menu, click on “Members”
- Click on “New member” button to create a specific member
- Define the group that will store this member.
- Fill the form to set the user and pay attention of the User ID: This define the logon name of this user
- Set the password of this user.
- Click on Add button.
¶ B) Change the listen interface
By default the LDAP server does not listen to the network but to the internal address.
You have to make it listen to the network to allow replication.
- On the left menu, click on “Databases/LDAP server”
- Use the Listen Interface dropdown list to change the address from 127.0.0.1 to the desired network interface that will communicate with slaves.
- Click on Apply.
¶ C) Turn on the Master
- Click on the “Cluster" tab.
- Turn on the “Enable LDAP Sync Service”
- Choose the sync user added in your Members section.
- Click on Apply.
- The web console confirm you are in cluster Master mode.
