Using Universal Proxy service with Access Control Lists (ACLs) enhances its functionality and provides a robust, secure, and flexible proxy environment
- ACLs allow you to define who can access the proxy service based on IP addresses, usernames, or groups.
- Prevent abuse by limiting access to trusted users or networks. ( Example: Block public IPs but allow specific internal IP ranges.)
- Block potentially harmful traffic, such as traffic to known malicious domains or IP addresses.
- Minimize exposure to attacks by limiting access to proxy services.
By default the service allow all,
to setup ACL's to the service:
2. Click on the button New Rule
3. Type the name of the rule and select the type
4. Add objects to the rules, objects can be Destination, Source, Members, Protocol, Time Period...
5. Click Apply
6. Click Apply Rules
7. Click Apply Parameters
