Indeed, statistics will require hardware resources such as memory for the PostreSQL database service, processor to allow events injection inside the database.
Main advantages of using a dedicated statistics server are:
- Aggregate multiple Artica Proxies events into a single point.
- Allow non-administrator users to view statistics without disrupting the entire Artica proxy server.
- Let the statistics server consume all disk space without stressing the proxy service disk.
¶ Connect an Artica Proxy to your Artica statistics server
The statistics feature must be uninstalled to display this section.
If you have installed the statistics feature on your proxy server, please, remove it.
- On “Your Proxy” section, choose “Statistics service"
- Activate the option and define the IP address of your Artica server that act as a statistics server.
- Click on Apply button
The latest HotFix for Artica v4.30 SP206 or the Service Pack 439 perform a network test availability in order to confirm that the remote port is alive.
