Incoming Criteria Specifies the sources of traffic hitting the proxy, such as client IP addresses, subnets, or the proxy’s listening port.
When you open a rule, you’ll find two tabs corresponding to the directional criteria.
- The buttons at the top of the table show which type of criterion you can add.
- Source IP Address
Match a single IP (1.2.3.4), a CIDR block (1.2.3.0/24), or an explicit range (1.2.3.4-1.2.3.254). - MAC Address
Match MACs in either colon or hyphen notation (aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:fforaa-bb-cc-dd-ee-ff). - Client Hostname
Match full hostnames (host.domain.tld) or entire domains (domain.tld), using:
Wildcards (e.g.d*main.*)
Regular expressions (e.g.domain\.[a-z]+)
