Especially when you put Artica Proxy in production, you are not sure of the load-bearing capacity of your proxy with your users.
When the proxy service reaches a critical memory, it will try to survive but will render a random service because it will not be able to load new child processes.
To correct this behavior, Artica v4.30 Service Pack 383 has implemented a memory usage monitor for the proxy service.
If the monitoring daemon detects an excessive proxy service memory usage , it will perform a quick restart of the proxy ( 10 seconds ).
By default, the value of 75% of the server memory is allocated.
- To tune this value, on the left menu, go to “Your Proxy” / “Status”
- Select the Watchdog tab.
Select the percentage of memory usage of your proxy and the period that the memory exceed.
