The Mixed Transparent method allow you to use the Load-balancer for both Active Directory connections and computers using the transparent method.
¶ First method
Play with your own gateway: Your gateway is able to forward (using DNAT ) HTTP/HTTPS requests to the HaCluster Load-balancer.
Computers that use the Load-balancer address in their browsers settings still use the standard method.
¶ Second method
if your gateway cannot perform DNAT, set your HaCluster as the primary gateway. HaCluster will be able to perform the same operations as a standard gateway.
¶ Turn your HaCluster server to a transparent Load-balancer Proxy
- On the status section,
- Click on Transparent tab.
- turn on the “Enable Transparent Mixed mode”
- Select a certificate from the drop-down list
- Click on Apply button
- Click on “Backends” left menu
- Click on “Reconfigure nodes” in order to send to your clusters pool to activate the dedicated port for transparent method.
- Backends will be turn to “Waiting confirmation”, just refresh the table to get the correct status.
- On each Artica backend, in the listen ports section, you should see a new port dedicated to the transparent method.
