To do this, the proxy compressor must be the gateway to the client stations.
This can be managed from your firewall or via routing rules, you indicate that for such destination or source, the destination gateway will be the Artica Proxy compressor client.
Artica then has an internal redirector that will pass TCP flows to the local proxy using SOCKS
- On the left menu, choose “Your System” / “Features”
- On the search field, type "Wan proxy"
- Click on Install button
- A new menu “TCP Compressor” is displayed, Click on “Status” sub-menu
- The service is by default stopped because you need to define which type of service you need ( server or client ).
- Click on Select under the “Mode” field.
- Choose the “Wan Compressor Client” option.
- In the Wan Compressor client section , set the IP address and the listen port of your Wan Proxy parent
- If you did not using the proxy service, Artica will use the “transparent” method, the a TCP-To-Proxy service is installed in order to let you hook some TCP ports inorder to the compress protocols.
- In the transparent ports field, separate by a comma all destinations ports you want to forward to the proxy Wan Compressor .
