Blocking access based on source country with Artica Firewall helps improve security, regulatory compliance, and resource efficiency, making it a valuable tool for organizations aiming to reduce unwanted traffic or risks from specific regions.
¶ Create First a “Deny Rule”
- Go to Firewall Rules section
- Click on the button New rule
- Select the network interface source
- Set Action to “Drop”
- Click on Add Button
- Select the new added rule from tha main table.
- Select the tab “Inbound Object”
- Click on the button “New object”
- Give a name of the object and select “Countries” in the Type drop-down list
- Click on Add button
- The object is added inside the Inboud object table.
- Click on this new object.
- Choose all countries you want to deny.
- Your new rule is stamped to “Inactive” because the firewall rules are not compiled.
- Click on “Apply Firewall rules” to make the rule in production mode.
