This article is for Artica v4.30 With Service Pack instable or Artica v4.40
For Artica v4.30 Service Pack 206 or 208 see this article
A file descriptor is a number that uniquely identifies an open file in a computer's operating system. It describes a data resource, and how that resource may be accessed.
This means that if your proxy reaches the file descriptor limit, it will not be able to create new network connections or open files.
There are two limitations:
Filedescriptors settings can be modified using:
Your Proxy
” / “Filedescriptors
”
As you can see, we have set the value to 4352 and the real value is 13056.
This because we have created 3 proxy instances in order to bind 3 CPUs so 4352 x 3 = 13056
It is important to visualize the load of your file descriptors in order to evaluate if at certain times of the day you reach the maximal limit
A new window appears allowing you to visualize the consumption growth of your file descriptors
