When you use several Artica Proxy Servers and you want to have the same ACL rules, it can be very interesting to be able to replicate the rules easily.
This feature is available in Artica v4.30 with Service Pack Instable 923 or Artica v4.40
¶ Export/Import all rules
This method consists in exporting the backup of all the rules and importing them on another Artica server.
It overwrites and replaces the previously exported rules.
This means that the imported rules will be a clone of the export.
When you import the export container, the previous rules will be destroyed in favor of the rules present in the export file
¶ Exporting all rules
- On the Access rules section, click on the “Export" button
- Your browser will download a file named “acls.db”
¶ Importing all rules
- On the Access rules section, click on the “Import" button
- Click on “Upload a file” button and select the downloaded “acls.db” file.
¶ Import/Export a single rule.
This method exports only a given rule with its objects and associated data.
This is a real import, Artica will add the imported rule to your ruleset.
Previous rules will be kept.
¶ Export a single rule
- On the Access rules section, select the rule you want to export.
- Click on the button “Export” at the end of the form.
- Your browser will download a file named “rule.[ID].acl” as the ID is the Rule ID index
¶ Importing a single rule
- On the Access rules section, click on the “Import" button
- Click on “Upload a file” button and select the downloaded “rule.[ID].acl” file.
- Artica will import all data and create a new rule in you set of rule.
- The new imported rule name will have “(imported)” additional mention
