In our example, we install Artica on a Public VPS server hosted by OVH provider.
But this procedure applies to any form of VPS server.
It is important to understand that Artica is a product that supports and modifies the Linux system according to its needs.
It is not intended to install Artica on a server already in production.
Uninstalling Artica is not possible.
- Install your VPS using the Debian 10 template
- Connect on your VPS server using SSH.
¶ Install the Artica Core installation
Run these command-lines:
wget http://articatech.net/download/v4/install-manuall.sh && chmod 0755 install-manuall.sh && ./install-manuall.sh
- The script will start to install the required packages in order to prepare Artica installation.
- A popup is displayed that alert you about the system modification,
choose Yes and type Enter key
- The script will patch your system startup and scripts, wait during the process.
- At the end, Artica will ask you to confirm the installation of required package for Artica.
- Choose “
Yes” and type theEnter key
- Confirm the
IP addressof your server, chooseAcceptand typeEnter Key
Confirm the Network mask, choose Accept and type Enter Key
Confirm the Gateway address, choose Accept and type Enter Key
Confirm the Network parameters address, choose Yes and type Enter Key
- The wizard ask you to reboot, but in some cases, it is not necessary
- Type the command
ifconfigand if you see you main interface asethxx, then the reboot is not mandatory
¶ Connect to the Web console
- Open your Web browser and type
https://[your vps server ip]:9000 - Accept the self-signed certificate
- You must enter into the wizard animation and start the wizard.
