Firewall rules for web services only manage the authorization of outgoing flows from your Artica web server.
Firewall rules allow your local web sites sites to communicate to a defined destination an port.
By default, everybody can access to your Web sites, but your Web sites cannot access to Internet.
If one of your Web site is infected, the malware injected in your Web site will be not able to spam Internet or to send requests to the world.
- On the Status section, click on the “Firewall Rules - Outgoing flows - white lists” tab.
- This section allows you to add public ( or private ) addresses that will be whitelisted by the local firewall.
- In the address field, set and IP address (192.168.1.1) or a CDIR notation (192.168.1.0/24) or a hostname.
Note: Set 0.0.0.0/0 for all addresses and define port 0 (zero) for all ports. - Set the remote TCP listen port and the description of your rule.
